Download the V12.5.2.0.RFAEUXM Fastboot ROM or Recovery ROM for Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer (cepheus). Recovery ROM installs from the Updater app. Fastboot ROM flashes with Mi Flash Tool.

- Tap the three dots and select Choose update package.
- Select the downloaded ROM. The phone reboots into the new version when it finishes.
Fastboot ROM
- Download the Fastboot ROM package (cepheus_eea_global_images_V12.5.2.0.RFAEUXM_20211112.0000.00_11.0_eea_655e654e8a.tgz).
- Boot the phone into Fastboot and connect it to a computer.
