Fastboot ROM and Recovery ROM

Download the V9.6.3.0.LHMMIFD Fastboot ROM or Recovery ROM for Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (hermes). Recovery ROM installs from the Updater app. Fastboot ROM flashes with Mi Flash Tool.

Download the Recovery ROM.
Open the Updater app on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 2.
Tap the three dots and select Choose update package.
Select the downloaded ROM. The phone reboots into the new version when it finishes.

Fastboot ROM

Download the Fastboot ROM package (hermes_global_images_V9.6.3.0.LHMMIFD_20180801.0000.00_5.0_global_0dc0ffff2c.tgz).
Boot the phone into Fastboot and connect it to a computer.
